Those are so charming, but somehow, as I recall, Little Lulu was one of the first liberated women I ever encountered. I can't quite imagine her ever being so placidly domestic as that. 
I also wonder if the patterns were something that one could buy, or were created by the person who did the original embroidery. I would suspect the former.
