For the big guys.

This is a nice looking suit with some issues. Could be brought back to life with some time and effort. A project if you're looking for one.

The suit is made of bluish gray medium weight wool material and has handsome cream chalkstripes. The shoulders are lightly padded, all jacket buttons are present.

The trousers have a zipper fly of the most unusual kind: a Waldes "Kover-Zip". The Kover-Zip has a fabric flap on each side that cover the teeth when they are engaged (see pics). A small section of this covering fabric on these trousers has frayed some but doesn't detract from the trousers.
In my research the earliest reference to the Kover-Zip is 1934 and the latest is 1941, though I could have missed earlier/later references. So, I'm fairly confident in dating this suit from the mid-1930s to the early 1940s. It also has either a 1936 or 1939 union tag but it's too worn to tell.

The issues: (1.) Several small (pinhead sized) holes, one in the back and two on the right shoulder. These are small enough and the fabric rough enough that they should be able to be patched fairly easily and made invisible. (2.) The lining is pretty much shot and needs to be replaced. The (purple!) lining has multiple holes, tears and fraying throughout.
Also, one leg of the trousers has a small hole at the hem and the back right pocket has some fraying (see pics).

If this was in better condition it would have run at least a couple hundred dollars.

But in the state it's in I'm only asking $80 shipped in the U.S., you pay shipping for international. Paypal only, PM if interested.

I'm a 38 (medium) and the jacket is pretty big on me. But the trousers would fit me just fine.

It's a bit of an odd suit. Big jacket, medium trousers.

The 20" chest and 19" shoulders seem to be at odds. The former says 36-38, the later says 40. [huh]

It's the same issue with the early 50s suit I'm selling.

PM sent... Consider me very interested and put down my name; but it's dependent on the measurements... I'll double check them tonight.
