Here are some Fedora's "Rodney" ( North Valley Hat Co.) made several years ago, also take a look at the way he sews the sweat together, I have never seen one done this good.

Trade Mark

Thanks for the wonderful responses to my braiding on my sweat bands.
It is trademarked and I also think it would take someone a lot of cussing before they figured it out. It is a braid that is not in any braiding book that I have ever seen. ---I do braiding as a hobby.
It takes about 30 -40 minutes to put a sweat band together like that.
I have a bow that is trademarked as well that I am sure you will see here some day.
I figure that my customers deserve more than just a deluxe finish on the felt and a well built hat. I always try to come up with special things while making my hats. No gimicks, just added efforts.

Art, I begged him to share this with me, he said he could not even start to tell me how to do this.


It does look good in his hats, just lays in there so nice and flat.

Mr. Allison's work doesn't show up on the secondary market much, as far as I can tell and, if I were buying now, I'd definitely try to snag this one. Since I'm not getting it, one of us loungers should take a shot. Let us know if you do.
