Just browsing the internet for goat A-2s and came across this;

It looks pretty good for a mid-priced jacket. Anybody ever bought a jacket from them?

I got one of these all wool A1's a few years ago. It was well made, well fitting, good looking, comfortable, and an unbelieveable bargain. All wool and still only $75! I don't know how they do it. I use the past tense because my nephew beguiled me out of it.

Edward, I think, had a tanker jacket from them.

Well remembered! Yes, I picked up one of their tanker jackets a while back - specifically, the civilianised version with the quilted burgundy lining that nods to the one De Niro wore in Taxi Driver. I also have a couple of other bits - pairs of trews - from them. No experience of their leather gear. The bits I have had were very decent for the money. No idea how accurate they were to milspec as I was buying them to wear as a civilian, mind. Canadian based company, though I have a feeling the items are drop-shipped from a Far East supplier. In terms of garment quality, they compare favourably to items I've bought from Epic Militaria, What Price Glory, and Soldier of Fortune (I suspect most SoF stuff is relabelled WPG and Spearhead).

Be careful who you buy from under the Spearhead name - the link in the op is indeed their online catalogue; their only shopfront selling point is ebay: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/spearheadmilitaria/ Apparently there's a dodgy dot com in their name, run by an imposter.

Yeah, I've occasionally ben tempted by one of the Alpine ones myself, as an alternative to the B2 cap. If memory serves, these were derived originally from civilian skiwear designs (as was ,indeed, the Panzerwrap).

I bought this from fellow lounger CBI a year ago. Unfortunately it's a little too small for me, which is too bad because I really like the jacket, and the kid has absolutely no interest in it. Been meaning to re-post it up in the classifieds.

You would be 100% correct, at least as far as the goods being made in the land of the cheap (and often-abusive labor practices).

You are correct on both counts, and the trousers, too.
