Sports coat find

I got this yesterday, I was attracted by it's brightness and very good condition, it's a 40" but a tad tight for me, also the shoulders are well padded and on me it fits like a zoot suit jacket, maybe the guy it was tailored for was round shouldered?
Anyway it's a Burtons specially tailored whatever that is and the first I've seen of it's type with the owners name woven into the Burton's tag, any ideas of age, I 've looked on the Burton tag dating page and it doesn't quite match to any; personally I guess 70's?

It feels like wool but there's no tag anywhere to suggest what it's made from..it certainly itches like wool next to the skin!

Forgot to add there seems to have been another tag under or over the Burton one that was 3 1/2" x 3" which seems to be the same size as a few Harris tweed tags but why you'd remove one of those who knows unless Burtons tailored/altered it for the owner named on the Burton tag?
