Thanks, I really appreciate that. Funny thing was, it looked so dumpy in the auction pictures, and yet if you know what you're looking it, you could see the greatness of the hat beyond the crummy pictures.

I don't want to harp on the heat factor, since the fellow who posted that thread so graciously apologized. Maybe we both went a little nuts (I was just a little nuttier) but when you want something and it's the right thing, you have to go for it or you'll kick yourself later.

I agree Tony. The only way to buy any item on eBay is to place a value on it. An amount you consider to be the absolute top dollar you are willing to pay for it. Place the bid and wait and see.
