I just got my first vintage hat and just like I figured I'm between sizes, after a few mins of wear the hat slides down enough just to touch the top of my ears. Is it best to just pad the hat some and if so what is the best placement for the padding, the sides or the back? I'll post some pics this weekend.

Yeah, a little padding should do it. I've tried padding in different places, sometimes trying different spots until it feels most comfortable.

I have found that when a vintage hat is just a bit too big, wearing it in the rain usually solves the problem.
