Tall Ships Race 2005 in Newcastle, UK.

JUST back from the Tall Ships Race in Newcastle Upon Tyne (ne England). My brother was skipper of an Irish boat which sailed from Cherbourg in France with a crew of young people from Northern Ireland. Atmosphere was great with over 100 tall ships from all over the world. Some were naval officer cadet training vessels (mostly from Eastern Europe) and were absolutely massive!! like five masts!!! But it was great seeing my brother, taking him out for a great Italian lunch of Sicilian sausages and listening to the street bands adding to the carnival feel of the quayside!
Someone did ask me where my U-Boat was parked, as I was wearing my front quarter horse hide Barnstormer!! haha.
