I read about this in the Stars & Stripes. I think it's incredible that a veteran of that ship has a plastics company with an epoxy to fix the problem. Neat stuff.

Too bad this happened before they had the permanent dry dock built for her. That is the right idea for these aging ships. Definitely something they should have done with the USS OLYMPIA. I just hope that too much damage has not been done.
