The best self welt I have seen

This hat arrived today. This has the nicest self-welted edge I have seen. The joint is very nicely rounded and completely smooth. No traces of stitching are visible. Noticeably better than a Cavanagh edge. Surprising since I assume this is a store brand hat (note that the brand is Arthur Johnson; Borsalino-style was just the Seller’s hook to get you to read further).

Hmmm... Do you have some nice close ups of it? I would like to check it out.
The Cavanagh Edge is, of course, sewn down at the beginning of the felting process and the stitches are removed before the final felting takes place so there should be no stitches visible. If you cut into it you might just see the former holes where the stitches once were though.
