ExcellentNew to me Knox Vagabond felt hat. I've really been looking for a sage/olive color hat for a while and very pleased. The color changes quite a bit in different light sources.

I really need a Knox in my collectionKnox Fifteen size 7 1/4 or 58cm with felted/Cavanagh/Custom Edge. Open crown is approximately 5 1/2 inches and the brim is 2 1/4 inches. The ribbon is an impressive 2 1/8 inches. Felt is substantial yet accepts a dry crease. Nice hat for the style and era.

Very nice.. don’t see very many westerns with a Cavanagh edgeSize 7 1/4 Knox Twenty thin ribbon. 5 5/8” open crown and a 2 3/4” brim with felted/Cavanagh/Custom Edge. Some verdigris at the ferrule and some minor discoloration from where it was stacked. Great hat with my favorite kind of clay-like felt.

Mine as well. When I started collecting my main focus was on Cavanagh edge hats. Since then, I grew to appreciate a much wider array. But they always have a soft spot with me. Unfortunately I havnt found too many with wider brims. Thanks, Joe. I wish there were more felted edge hats, it’s my favorite edge type.
Quality definitely changed over time. A Fifteen from the 1950s likely was a bit better quality than a Twenty (and possibly even 25 or 35) of the 1960s. A Twenty from the 50s or older are almost always pretty high end.First post here - trying to make sense of the quality ranges from Knox - would it be fair to say that all of these models that I've seen referenced are essentially the same general quality ie CustomEdge felts? And the only thing that changes is the price as time has elapsed?
- Fifteen
- Twenty
- Forty
- Fifty

Gorgeous hat, Brent!Knox Premier mid-gray/taupe fedora with 5 1/2” open crown and 2 5/8” bound brim. 1 1/4” wide ribbon and nice felt. The crown is easily dry creased and the brim is slightly firmer.
