I'd like to order the BECK 666 or BUCO J-100. (There were many J-100 share, but the BECK 666 is rarely to seem) I can't sure the size 40 or 42. anyone give me some advice please, Thanks!! my height= 186cm (6'1) weight= 55 kg (166 pond) The photo below is test in Size 40. (The store has no Size 42 in stock) (The chest is OK in Sz 40, but worry about the sleeve and body length too short for me, Sz 42 may become too loose in chest and bottom) http://imgur.com/Dzjqvac http://imgur.com/nLDoR3g http://imgur.com/pRYvKFD
that one does look a tad short, but it does seem to fit you to the point that a 42 would not look good. I personally prefer the J-100 RMC simply because of the simpler back design and lack of bi-swing shoulders which I generally think look horrid. Still, that is a damn fine looking jacket.
Thanks for the advise. Maybe i should consider the brand which provide Bespoke...Such as Lewis Leathers. So i can adjust the body and sleeve length... But really like the style of J-100 or BECK 666.
I Agree with HD...Sleeves are too short, and the body could use some length (if you are going to wear it with lower rise (modern) jeans. There are many companies that can make these to fit you. Here are a few: Aero Lewis Thedi Diamond Clothing Welcome to the Lounge! Read more and save yourself a lot of $$ before you go ordering.
My gripe with the TMC Beck is the short body and sleeves, and your fit photos illustrate what I gathered from the published dimensions. Its a shorter jacket. The RMC J-100 is considerably longer in the body, and also longer in the sleeve. The trade off is that the J-100 has a slightly wider shoulder. I went with the RMC for the longer body. Its a great jacket. HandyMike listed a few good options for custom jackets. If you like the Shinki hide on the RMC, you should also consider the Himel Kensington -- its a wonderful jacket.
Schott 641XX is very similar to the Beck 666. I think they release a horsehide version last year. Having said that, the Toys is much slimmer than the Schott in terms of body width. http://item.rakuten.co.jp/schott/7417/
You might also be able to pick up a vintage Brooks Cafe Racer on eBay for MUCH less...its a very similar style
Thanks for the advises. Just have chance to try the Size 40 RMC J100 and Size Large JEANSDA 2-WAY Single Rider Jacket I think the body length of j100 is more well than 666, but the sleeves still a little shorter. (Is it say that the length of sleeves will be slightly shorter after wearing for long time?) RMC J-100 (Sorry for the low quality photos...did not notice when taking) The chest is a little tight ~ It is hard to zipper up (The jacket is like NEW one) Want try the Size 42...But the store don't have such large size for test... http://imgur.com/SJdBjOP http://imgur.com/mP4sUkU JEANSDA 2-WAY Single Rider Jacket http://imgur.com/0azS01S
Agreed! They are also starting to get baggy in the back, so you will need to go custom for the longer body and sleeves. Yes, Horsehide sleeves crease up (shrink-around 1/2" or so) after it breaks in.
Yup, I think so, one problem for me is hard to find Size 42 for trying. Just to try all interested version with the largest size which i can find. (There no store can try Himel Kensington in my country) Maybe custom Lewis Leather (add the length of sleeves and body) is the final solution for me. But they don't have the style like J100 or 666. Dominator 551T / No.68 Sportman / Corsair... Its really bad...
I agree with the prior posters -- both jackets are too short. Not sure of your body dimensions, but my RMC J-100 is a 42 and, while the body length is great, the sleeve length is barely acceptable.
It's close to me !! my height= 6'1" weight 166 lbs P2P is Armpit to armpit? Do you have some photos with your SZ 42 J100 can share for reference ? Thank a lot Is it!? Mar 25, 2014#9 http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/real-mccoys-buco-j-100-lvc-buco.76491/
TMc seem to run short generally. I have a ribbed top made by them, and I get away with it, just, but if I order another I'd size up and risk slightly too-long sleeves.
