A short while ago I purchased this NOS 1930s cap on Ebay:

I asked the seller to send it to JohnnyJ so he could stretch it and install a leather sweatband. Imagine my surprise when Johnny told me that the cap had arrived, but was a different size and already had a half leather sweatband. This is what the seller had sent to him:

The seller had sold five or six deadstock caps within two weeks and had mixed them up. As you can imagine, I am not happy with this, as the cap I won is much nicer IMO. The recipient of my cap seems to think the same, as he didn't reply to an inquiry of the seller. In the meantime she received positive feedback from all other buyers.

I do believe there is a slim chance that one of the FL cap collectors won the other cap and is now in possession of mine. Who else would buy a tiny sized cap like that? So if one of you guys has my cap, please contact me for an exchange. I would very much appreciate that.

Thanks
Rudie

Hello rudie! This shall once again prove that the FL is the right place for anybodys inquiry :)
Funny thing, I had purchased 3 years the same cap you were hoping for, perhaps there were two of the same. I got the cap for my son and he's been wearing it since he was two. I too was thinking of having it stretched but I figured the width of the cap just wouldn't work even tho I'm a size 7. I'm with HBK, I actually was going to go and have a look at the cap you have now when I was down in Winnipeg, which is where the seller is located.

I had posted this one I think last fall, my son wearing the cap

Man, your son looks so cool in his cap. Wearing rare vintage from the start. :) Is your son's also a 6 3/4?

That cap is beginning to get a little tight on him, I'd say he's about a 6 7/8 now. Soon he'll be able to wear my caps, he's about a half inch away and only 4
