Can someone please advise about sizing of Toys McCoys. A friend is about to purchase and asks: "Should I size up to a 9 US from a 8 1/2 because I have heard the boots are quite narrow?"

Hi Papa M. I have a pair of these in 8-1/2D US. I wear an 8 UK & the fit is spot on. The only area I've had a problem with is getting my feet in & out of them, that is getting my feet around the corners. I think this is due to my high arches as I've had this problem with other boots. The leather is pretty heavy duty so doesn't tend to stretch out with time alleviating this problem. I had to resort to finding a way to stretch them with something tougher & less supple than my feet forced into them after wetting & being left for 24hrs. I nearly went for size 9s but now I realise that would have been a mistake.

They are expensive boots but I don't regret buying them as they are fantastic quality & style. I'd buy them again in an instant if the need arose.

If your friend can make it to Southampton before he places his order he's more than welcome to try mine for size.

The only other person I know of having a pair of these is Marineabilly on here. Hopefully he'll catch this thread & give his input.

Hello, I surfed a little bit for these shoes, but get no real satisfied information.
Is there any (internet) shop where I can buy these shoes? is size 9 there biggest size?

They are available on Rakten but being a small production run they're selling out fast. In fact many sizes are already unavailable. Here's a link:

Alternatively you can Google them, find a shop that doesn't deal outside of Japan & then use a Proxy Buying service to buy them for you. This is the way I did it BTW & had no problems at all.

I will see how to manage. My parents got friends living in Japan, perhaps I can send them for buying a pair of these fantastic shoes. But first I have to check my credit. Just got an email from Amanda that 3 (2 for me, one for my wife) jackets are ready to ship.
