Bit of a mystery this one, bears many hall marks of being a 55-J-14, so the first run of G1. However the lining and cuffs were replaced at some stage. When I got the jacket I spent more money on repairs- the action back wasn't working, the Moulton was falling off, one of thr seams was open etc... than I'd paid for it! At the time I couldn't afford to change the cuffs and waistband like I wanted to.
I would really like to keep this, but it has always been too big for me, unless worn with a cpo shirt and a usn sweater and after going down nearly 2 trouser sizes it's starting to really be too big. Obviously this jacket is also designed to be worn big.
Leather has a lot of patina, lining, although replacement is a bit worn and lightly stained (though largely in places you wouldn't see). Leather has gone a bit soft in about a 1cm area towards the bottom left waist cuff. Repairer suggested putting a patch of equally worn goatskin over that to reinforce. This does not effect the zip.

Please bear in mind how much movement the action back allows for.
