These are a pair of Viberg Chelsea Boots that started out life as part of a standard run in Rowdy Dachshund leather.

I took delivery of these and wore them once... but while I loved the pre-creasing and out-of-the-box patina of the leather, I was not a fan of the reddish topcoat color. So I ended up taking them to a friend who refinishes shoes and boots for film and TV, and we went a little crazy.

He lightly stripped, re-dyed, and conditioned the leather, and we went with this kind of charcoal-glazed darkish chocolate brown with blackening in the folds and creases, and blackened burnishing throughout. A very dark blackened-brown dye to the leather soles and stack, and one extra stack added at the heel for that 1960's-era Mod stance. New thin rubber added to the leather soles for grip. These boots are essentially new, and in my opinion, pretty @#$%ing amazing.

Unfortunately, I just need a 9 in Viberg's 2030 last, so after the build, these just sat in my closet. These are simply too cool not to be worn, so here they are. Asking $600, shipped ConUS, Paypal Friends & Family. Thanks!

Probably should have mentioned this, but these boots were worn by Napoleon during the Battle of Austerlitz. Like this actual specific pair, not another pair like them. Which is weird because Viberg didn't even exist in 1805, but I do have a DeLorean, so...

Okay, there's no time to explain, but you need to get in the DeLorean and buy these boots from me right now, or things will not turn out well. No, not you, Marty! your kids, Marty! Your kids!
