SOLD!!
VINTAGE 1950s MINK JACKET
Asking just $25, or offer, boxed, shipped, and insured in the USA!
Measurements:
Bust: 19
Sleeve: 25 1/2 (measured like a shirt)
Length: 24 from the top of the collar; 19 from the bottom of the collar.
This is beautiful--but very much a project jacket. It could either be restored to its former glory, or else used to make something else, such as a mink vest, a jacket lining, or mink collars!
Made from beautifully soft male mink this jacket is cut as a short jacket for wearing over a dress. It has a lovely oversized collar and a single fastening at the throat. It also features two handwarmer pockets on the side. It is lined, and has a monogram inside.
As I noted above this jacket is very much a project jacket. It has some splitting by one of the pockets, under the arms, and at the back of the neck. However, the skin throughout is still lovely and supple--including the split areas--with no sign of dry rot. These areas could thus likely be resewn so thye jacket was be worn. Or, if you wish, it could be dismantled and the mink used in other projects! The jacket is also missing the eye from the hook and eye at the throat.
