Vintage Late 1950s Charcoal Grey Suit with Embroidery - L - MINT

Vintage late 1950s early 60s charcoal grey 'Pure Virgin Wevenit' wool jersey jacket and skirt suit set by 'Escapade of Sydney'. Beautiful set with a bolero-type jacket that sits just above the hip. 3/4 sleeves with gorgeous waved embroidery and spiralled flowers, each flower inset with a sequin and bead. Pockets have the same embroidery and this really is a feature of the jacket. The skirt is cut in a straight style, is darted at the waist for a fitted look and there is a box pleat at the back hem. Metal (brass) zipper mid back, celluloid closeure button and a tag inside saying 'SW' with a handwritten 'B' next to it. Just a beautiful set that can just as easily be worn as separates.
