Does anyone here have any original vintage oil paintings?
When I first started attending estate auctions six years ago I was shocked at how one could affordably build a nice collection of original art for the same price as a cheap repros sold today.
For example, I won this beautiful 19th century painting of a peaceful autumn scene for only $50:
It came framed, too!
Of course, important signed works of art will command thousands, but you would be surprised at how reasonable other works are.
Does anyone have any pics of their own vintage paintings, or any tips for collecting?
