This is so fantastic!! The first one is a slim-fitted Poloshirt, like many of them today, or not? But looking great!
I would say most of them were rather fitted. But the wearers are rather sporty too ...so they can pull it off.
I'm wearing my Poloshirts since last week, because of the warmer weather and it feels again so nice! Actually, I'm wearing my snow-white, basic-style Piqué-Poloshirt from storebrand. 9,99 EUR and all is fine.
I see the SJC ones are out.... very nice indeed. I have quite a few polos I've bought in recent years that have the late forties to late fifties vibe to them, but these are something else again. I might pick up a couple.... http://www.simonjamescathcart.com/polos/deco-polo
Yes! These look great. I picked up 3 in navy, brown and red. I'm looking forward to getting them. Hopefully the spectators come around the same time.
They're very nice, but I should think you'd need a young, muscular physique to pull one off. I keep seeing myself in one with a pair of my dad's tartan golfing pants up to my armpits. I'm in good shape, but it's a younger man's garment.
SJC summer 2016 repro spearpoint polo, bamboo rayon. Cream worn with 50s-60s British KD trews, navy worn with early 40s bright blue w/ green pinstripe cotton slacks with self-fabric belt.
SJC Polo's here too in Navy & Dark Red...teaming them up this weekend with 40's chinos, brogues & a Stetson flat cap. A-1 jacket over the top & old Ray-Bans
My SJC polos have arrived also, in red cream and blue. The fabric is fabulous, hefty but not heavy, and the cut is perfect for the warmer weather, roomy but not baggy. I'm impressed.
I've had a little trouble with delivery (read: MyHermes strike again!), but mine should be here tomorrow. I intend to wear at least one of them in Beijing next week, where it will be over 30 Celsius. Some lucky Chinese guy may well find himself a seriously nice vintage cut polo on the street - all he'll have to do is wash the little pile of ash out of it.
Wore mine out this weekend to a British Scooter Rally.......appreciated by some of a Rockabilly persuasion
I've worn mine quite a bit over the last ten days, in the UK and Beijing. Green, Navy & burgundy. The last one is my favourite, but they're all great. Please with the sizing, too - I opted for XL, which is a neat fit without being too neat, and won't be too baggy either once I shift this gut (if ever I do manage it.... as forty disappears in the back mirror - I'll be forty-two in September - it's getting harder to sift any weight at all, to the point where it soon won't be worth the bother.).
