I know nothing about the company or its products, but it seems to be what you want. All I can say is....if I were you (and there isn't some particular reason you actually PREFER a repro, say, because you intend to wear it while using a jackhammer)...I'd keep an eye open for an original. If you're patient, you can get some very nice watches at very affordable prices. One dealer of originals with whom I have had dealings, and can recommend very highly is:

Lest you have heart failure or think I am putting you on....he lists his watches by price, with the most expensive at the top! Scroll on down...to give you an example, a retailer chosen at random is selling Circas watches, it seems, for about $110 US; VWR has a 1940s Hamilton for....$175.

I have no connection with VWR other than I've been a repeat customer and have been very, very pleased with the products and services he offers. I'm sure there are many other sources--and I know we have many Loungers more knowledgeable than myself regarding watches. But hopefully this will be helpful to you, and at least will get the ball rolling.

I have to agree with *****. I have a vintage repro tank watch from Circa watches, and it is a nice watch.

***** is right. Go for original but be sure to find reliable source like the sellers on Timezone.com amongst whom you will find friendly experts of vintage timepieces. I have a vintage Hamilton from the late 1940's and vintage Elgin rectangular timepieces for about $100. The nice thing too about vintage rectangular cases is that they come elegant different styles and shapes. The only thing I will caution you is to find a good local watchmaker for servicing. Good luck hunting.

While not vintage, Citizen makes a fabulous watch that is rectangular, vintage in style, and solar powered.

It's not vintage, but if you are tough on a watch they are a good option.

But, old Elgin and Hamilton timepieces are not too tough to find, and comparable in price.

So...

GET BOTH!!

*****, not sure whether to just dislike you (no, not really) or I owe you a fine beverage of your choice - I have been in the Black Hills of South Dakota lately doing some business deals and also waiting for the Rolex dealer up here to get a GMT Master II in stock so I could take a look (I just sold an 03 and wanted the new one with the ceramic bezel) - and then you go and post the line for the Vintage Watch Restoration place. So, no more of Rolex and I'm out about one seventh the cost of the Rolex for two very nice vintage watches.

So glad you found something--no TWO things--you like at VWR. I found them Googling around for a place to make the watch my father wore in the USAAF during WWII usable. The pictures HERE should speak for themselves:

That's the biggest disappointment. Still, the one I have was the exception to the rule, and the only quartz watch I've bought in probably at least six or seven years.
