Still not bad! And still without Phil Collins.
"How much synthwave do you want?"
I was soooo looking forward to seeing the Bachman-Cummings show scheduled for next month, but travel restrictions from Canada forced cancellation. Bummer.
And Mark Farner was supposed to open. Double bummer.
I’m afraid we’re about to see more restrictions. Again.
Saw The Guess Who at the VBCC in 74 or 75. Wet willie opened for them.
The only Guess Who I ever saw was post-Bachman/Cummings. Saw Wet Willie open for Charlie Daniels sometime in the 70s.
But can you imagine holding tix to a BTO/Guess Who/Grand Funk show in the 70s? You would be going to a stadium.
That would have been something. You wouldn’t have to yell “turn it up”.
Another fabulous Synthwave:
Saw them in Dallas and Nashville
RIP Tom T.
Kind of psychedelic and timeless.
One thing comes to my mind. Were they the prototype for bands like Foreigner?
Chris Bolister -- Foggy Night In Spitalfields
