thanks Tomasso. I figured out what I did to mess up and got it right in the PR and came back to fix it here but you beat me to it. merci! :)

  5. That is one classic ensemble. The blues go very well together.

  6. Nothing fancy for Independence Day, but dressy enough. My Palace Clothiers, 2-button suit, with a Hollyvogue necktie labeled Francais Moderne ($3.50 price tag still on it).

    Lee,

    Fantastic tie.

Is there a significance to the lapel pin?

    Cheers

  8. ^^Thanks, Jamie. Hollyvogue is more famous for its wider ties, many of them hand-painted in CA. The pin is a copy of the Iraq Campaign ribbon.

I'm a big fan of an Argyle sock, myself. Tartan is familiar, but I can't call the name to mind from memory... Jacket/ waistcoat are great - always nice to see something different than the more formal black being worn with a kilt. The regular shoes look great (truth be told, I'm not a huge fan of the high-lacing brogues; I think I'm gong to try and track down a buckling pair for my own Highland dress). The long Sporran is an interesting choice, too - I most commonly see those on pipers, especially military.
