Hi, worked out that I hate Vermouth about ten years ago.
JW and soda.
Had an Iron Monk Imperial Stout at 12.5%, and then a Bohemia at much less%. Iron Monk is out of Stillwater Oklahoma. My favorite beer is the Iron Monk Milk Stout, 1 I love Milk Stouts for some reason, and 2 there's something intriguing about an Iron Monk. Their Oktoberfest was also great this year.
One of these here, ice cold from the shed...
Enjoyed a Beck's with supper last night (fried chicken and mashed potatoes) and after had some wild turkey 101 over ice while watching some of a recently acquired box set of old Tex Avery cartoons with my kids. Friday nights.....they ain't what they used to be but they're still damn good. Especially after a 64 hour work week.
That’s a nice Ardbeg Standard that belongs in every cabinet.
How much is that at your end?
On sale at $77.99. I can't recall what I paid for this bottle as it was quite some time ago it was purchased.
Quite a fair price tag. Younger bottlings appear to be less sherried, maybe I’ll pick one up next time downtown.
Hendricks gin with a splash of tonic
A shot of wild turkey 101 with a Coors original flavor chaser
Boodles Gin and tonic. Had never seen it before (Ontario gov't liquor store sells ALL spirits in our stupid province). Quite nice, and odd that it was not available for sale in its home of the UK unti 2014 or so, it was export only until then!
No age statement.
Way better than the 18yo in my book.
Mönchshof Kellerbier tonight.
Russian Standard vodka with Fever Tree sparkling grapefruit.. I didn't like it as well as I do vodka and plain grapefruit juice, but I still drank too much of it for a Monday night.
Yesterday’s Betthupferl, Café Barbados
Tour De Rum at my neighbor yesterday, tasting us through his supermarket rum collection.
Light and shadow, just had forgotten what a lousy booze that Botucal crap is...
The stewed ox cheeks and the Black Print by Markus Schneider have been the excellent.
Vermouth wine bianco
A Christmas gift ...
A blend of seven rums “aged up to 24 years and sourced from countries spanning the Caribbean, U.S. and Central America, then finished in #4 char Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey barrels.” 88 proof.
