My girlfriend gave me a small bottle of Basil Hayden's for Christmas. I gave myself a tall bottle of Jack #7. And 12 Stellas. I enjoyed a little of all 3 last night.

Another Christmas gift from my daughter. A little rough for drinking neat, but it made an excellent Rum & Coca-Cola.

Enjoyed a few rounds of the Basil Hayden's last night, and should have left it at that because the midnight champagne toasts had me dragging into the new year this morning.

Prosecco. A few years back I made a New Year's resolution to drink more bubbly. It is about the only resolution that I have managed to keep. We even had some left over so we had Mimosas for brunch. So now my wife is having a nap before she bakes us a cake......she claims to be blitzed. .....but I think she just wants a nap.

Naps are good. I think my resolution will be to try to take more of them

  12. It was warm enough today to enjoy a gin and tonic. The gin was a Christmas gift from my daughter.

I haven’t had one of these for years! Quite enjoyable.

Warm enough? I enjoy a good g&t in all kinds of weather. That said, last night it was a little cool here and I had a shot of JD.

Always passed over the Creek, never took a sip for some reason.
Nothing corn or rye around last nite to celebrate Alabama's victory, so had some Lake Michigan water instead.
No dog in the fight wins don't count; and, 'Bama kicked Notre Dame's Irish leprechaun ass anyway, so's so's.
The Irish always get ass kicked in big games seems. Congrats Bama.
Doncha miss Bear? The Junction Boys is a damn good winter post season read.
