I'm new at all this, so take it with a grain of salt, but seeing interest expressed by another member, and not coming across any Champlains listed here myself, I thought I'd post what little I know...

I acquired this one, pre-owned, over the summer. An older deleted model, I guess. I may not keep it, but that's all down to fit and my apparent inability to pull off a cross-zip without looking ridiculous. That being said, I really like it. Decent weight at 3.8 lbs (and it somehow, through some magic trick that leaves me scratching my head, feels heavier in my hand, and on my shoulders. Substantial, but soft and supple. Nice grain. A rich brown, almost chocolate, color I haven't really captured in the photos. A black polyester lining with a green tint in the right light. YKK hardware that seems solid.
It's tagged as a 40, but it's a very generous 40: 23.75 inches from pit to pit (tapering to a svelte 20 at the bottom hem), 20.5 inches across the shoulders (and with some action on them). Here's the only other one like it I've found online (but with a quilted lining and, though the color isn't listed, it looks black on my monitor).
Anyway, that's all I know. How about you?
