S4C always beats me in. Yesterday, I had on my, at the time, only Philadelphia Stetson, a 3X beaver I lucked into a couple of months ago. Yesterday, my mail lady brought me this, a cousin of yesterday's. While the 3X is thicker and more "clay-like" this one is a thinner, dense felt and likely little or no beaver. The tagging and markings make it almost exactly as old as yesterday's. It's an interesting grey, almost caribou-ish.

And the ribbon is sublime. It's the only one I've seen that has an edge trim of a different color. TommyK suggested the 3X was a $20 hat. This one still has the $10 price tag.

    So far so good, Alan.

I love the Clear/Real Nutria from yesterday. There are a ton of those nutria critters swimming around in the Trinity River here. I should catch a bunch of them and we can start a felting business.

Thanks to everyone who's commented on the BSHW western.

Another BSHW today (slightly less brim)

Actually none of my twenty's are 3X. I have a Fifteen that is 3X.

I think Jimmythelid suggested that the Sovereign Twenty was a better quality than the 3X. That's not been my experience. I have two of each and the 3X's seem like better felt. YMMV.

Gorgeous hats today, gentlemen. Mine is the Mason from The Suquehanna Hat Co., which is located in the UK (and not on Bagel Street).

Wonderful hats all around today. Love that straw Knotten.

It's the 50s Stetson Royal Deluxe dry creased into a Cattleman's.

    I like the caps, guys.

Out on our favorite trails earlier this evening - my freebie hat from The Headwear Association is good for walks in the warm weather

I figured my Milan Strat would be appropriate today, as I'm giving a briefing to the USAF in a couple of hours...
