A joyus Straw Day to all! Taking a drive down south to visit Mike Miller today, I'll say hello. Although I rolled out the boater today, it would not fit in the car. So I'll go with a Lee Nassau from the 1950s.

The Lee is a gem Mike. I eased into straw this afternoon.

You know that hat is high on my 'wanted' list, Michael
I'll keep you in mind if I ever need to part with it, Stefan.

You haven't done it justice, Michael. Aren't pilgrims supposed to get around? Looks great.
It does need to get more travel in. It's very lightweight, maybe as light as my Dallas.

Two hat day yesterday. First one was the Borsalino Palladio.

After that the Borsalino Ghiaccio

Three hat day today. Started off with the Borsalino Ghiaccio Faunosca.

After that the Dunlap panama.

And finally: the Ecuadorian supernatural.

Dang, that is a group of fine hats.

Thanks,
Michael

I see a little brim flattening and also a touch of sewing repair are in order. I took it into the woods and collected a few of the mushrooms I spotted a couple of days ago.

I collected a bit over a kilogram and there is still probably about 2 or 3 times that left there. I'll let them size up for another day or two and hope they are still there.

Have a good Straw Hat Day,
Michael

I also wore my "2-1/2 inch brim Oak-colored Tear Drop" Sunbody today to celebrate National Straw Hat Day.

Archive photos taken a month ago because the events of the day didn't allow the time to take new ones, but the hat looks the same and it's a sunny southern California day so I don't think it makes much difference.

Sailing on the York River today wearing a Brent Black Montecristi. As you can see it was a bit windy. But had a great time with three of my siblings. Always nice to go home and visit with family.

My friend, I’d have been scared to death that the hat would have blown off. Being a Brent Black, I’d have gone over after it.

Funny you should say that. Several people had to remove their hats because of the wind. But I pointed out that a good fitted hat takes a strong wind to dislodge. I never once felt the slightest slippage while sailing today.

Jacket weather for now, mid 80s by afternoon. Think I'll take the Dobbs plasti-Milan for a bike ride then.

Happy Hump day,
Michael

Nice to see that one, Michael.

Temps broke here as well. From 90 the past few days to the 70s today, and a spot of precip.

Hump Day in this wonderful lightweight Borsalino Ludoela.

Took the kids to the park today accompanied by my Akubra Cattleman in Bran. I absolutely love this hat!
Good to see you around these parts my friend. Great Aussie Cattleman!

Happy Hump day,

Even if it is a little cool, that cool shirt fits the bill. Great OR Michael, creased just the way I like them.

Even your puppy has class Fabio. Love the Cury.
