Beginning the trek to Wenatchee WA this morning to attend a memorial service for Patty's Grandpa, Jim Merlin. He passed on December 26th at the age of 102. It will be a true celebration of his life. Snow in Portland and the Columbia Gorge, but should not be too bad. I'll honor Grandpa with my navy blue longhair custom from NW Hats in Eugene, and will take along a 1950s Knox Premier Stratoliner clone (the Knox-o-Liner!) fedora for daily wear around town. I'll try to post some snow pictures, it will be bitterly cold in northern Washington.

Have a safe trip, Mike. The gorge drive can be dicey in winter. Great selection of hats for the trip and memorial celebration for Grandpa Merlin.
