Another day of changeable weather and another gray hat
Golden Star 3a.jpg This time the Italian manufacturer is unknown because the brand under which it was marketed is very unlikely: Golden Star.
    Golden Star 2.jpg
The hat is well made and the felt is great, the color is a light gray with contrasting black ribbon with raw brims.
    Golden Star 5a.jpg
It arrived new after years of being made and resting on some store shelves for years
    Golden Star 2a.jpg
It has many similarities with others hats made in the same time, Sixties or Seventies, I have collected during years
    Golden Star 6.jpg
    Have a nice day

Good morning. A cold and breezy dog soire in a Knox Westlite. The bigger brim worked grand to keep the snow off my face and neck.

Coffee time and a cool down walkabout in a Lee Desert Tone. I thought a pink toned felt might brighten the cloudy morning.

Always good to see you treat your hats as hats and not just trophies. No offense intended to others but sometimes you've got to let the dog off the leash.

Post quote got dropped. Comment was about Erics ongoing series "Hats in Action".

This Knox is a very special hat. There are loads of great hats on this site but this is one of the hats that makes me stop and view the photos repeatedly to see every possible detail. It looks great on your head too.

Great looking Hornskov. To think he's just down the road from me and I still haven't ordered one yet. I think it was my new year's resolution for this year to get one. Guess I'll have to use it again for 2022.

    Enjoy your week off, Marcel.

One of the last hats to come out of Art Fawcett’s workshop before he retired, a “Blue Smoke” three inch brim Open Road style. I’ve reshaped this one several times but it wants to be a cattleman’s crease. 5FEDEB35-1529-4711-97E6-FE05681DEBA2.jpeg F334D5C3-BEBF-4BA1-ABD8-D387D00D90F0.jpeg

I'm not sure what it is about this Portis that I like so much. It isn't particularly old, or rare, nothing fancy, and wasn't expensive. It just simply feels good when I put it on, It gives me comfort when I wear it.
