P. & C. Habig Wien, "Special Qualität" "Special Zefir" with "Ventilo" possibly early 1950s maybe a bit earlier (missing paper label). This is a lighter weight very pliable felt "Special Zefir" which is a difficult find (found this almost 10 years ago). Made special for Fritz Reinhardt Frankfurt A/M.

P. & C. Habig Wien tended not use Sweatband Bows with their Soft Felt Hats.

Wonderful wide looking brim flow, Steve. Nice ribbon and bow treatment along with the matching brim binding, too. Hard to beat P & C Habig quality.

Always loved the aesthetic so I’ve picked up a few over the years, but I found they weren’t as fun to puff as I had hoped. It will be interesting to hear your experience if you should indulge!

The mechanics of it has been the one deterents for me. I definitely won't splurge when I get one!

I have a sneaking suspicion that Stetson may have carried these keyhole tags a bit longer on the Twenty Five than with most other models. But that’s is all it is my suspicion. Though I don’t think early 60s would be out of the question for yours. Mine has fraction only 7/8 on the key tag

I'm off to see Alice Cooper kick off his tour in Cincinnati tonight. Weather is mildly snowy and unpleasant. Wonderfully, the city has announced a Bengals Pep Rally in the same district as the show, The Banks, so parking might be fun and crowds getting too and from could be large and rowdy. As such, I am foregoing the new and never headwear, and wearing the trusty well-worn Scala wool Derby.
