Stetson The Sovereign
I came to Texas to pick up a bunch. There are 80 hats, but I can only take 36 with me this trip. You hardly come around for weeks or months and then you post hats like these!Love them all, Max, but the Churchill is a dream hat. The Scott & Co. is also one of the best looking homburgs I’ve seen in a long time.
Oh! And the Alley Kat is made with Fepsa felt, and it shows! No wonder it feels like an Optimo, Brent. The finishes are way up there, too.You hardly come around for weeks or months and then you post hats like these!Love them all, Max, but the Churchill is a dream hat. The Scott & Co. is also one of the best looking homburgs I’ve seen in a long time.
I think we're gonna need a bigger safeI came to Texas to pick up a bunch. There are 80 hats, but I can only take 36 with me this trip.
Also, I've been busy seeing to my Dad's will. That will take a while, but I will be back in force once that's settled.
I don't think I could handle any more pictures of that hat! Fantastic, Alan.Stetson 5X clear beaver, c.1940. There are additional photos of this hat here.

Superb look on both you and Tina, Robert. Splendid! So pleased, I really thought that I might miss out on this weeks hats.
A couple of days ago, we were at a rather good function. "Wear your Stetson for me," she suggested. "With what?" I replied, "think of something," she said, grinning. "For you dear............"Tina made the shirt, vest & trousers, I have no idea how much of her outfit she made.

Really like that style; just far enough removed from a homburg to be informal.Borsalino Mimosa

Now boxed up for the summer. Autumn can’t come soon enough!
He probably missed you too. Very nice strat, Jim.For some reason, I don't think it would take much for you to want that.
Off to the office for the first time since the aborted attempt back in July last year. I picked a 50s Strat for the occasion.

Beautiful parade of hats again, Eric. I'll never get tired of seeing your wonderful collection.Good morning. A morning scamper through the neighborhood had me wearing a gorgeous hued Stetson.

The brim treatment and other features, IMO, makes this hat's quality above the marked "Royal. "

Home and enjoying some coffee time on the deck wearing the other Stetson's fedora. This Stephan L. Stetson hat is a bigger brimmed 2 7/8" minty condition hat.

It has a Carter "Detatchable Leather" sweat.

Obvious, to me, that it has "Olympic Quality."

Cheers to all hat folks. Best, Eric -
Fantastic hat, Ross. Glad that one isn't faux.
Very nice, Joe. I'm still waiting for one to show up at a halfway decent price.
Looking smart as usual, Reggie.

Have a great day!
That's a fabulous looking weave, Max. Something to cherish.I finally picked up this wonderful Montecristi in Texas. What a wonderful weave! I don't know much about Panama hats, but Graham Thompson says it is a fine, tight weave. A little small for me, but Ignacio will take care of that.View attachment 425422View attachment 425423View attachment 425424View attachment 425425View attachment 425431View attachment 425429View attachment 425428View attachment 425427View attachment 425426View attachment 425425

Felt weather is good weatherBorsalino for today's errands.
It's overcast, windy, and really not that warm for late spring. On the bright side, felt season has been extended.

Your mood seems to have gradually improved, Max!I wore the VS felt/straw hybrid I bought from Bill Hughes for my nephew's commencement ceremony today.View attachment 425657View attachment 425658View attachment 425659View attachment 425660
If you think the felt is special it must be quite something, Max. They're looking great for sure. And now I am wearing my new Churchill Beaver "100" made with Vicuña. It might be misremembering, but the felt in this one is even better than the one in my white. It is just as obedient, but it feels smoother and velvety to the touch. I don't remember that feeling in any of my other hats. Both came with identical leather cases.View attachment 425668View attachment 425670View attachment 425661View attachment 425662View attachment 425663View attachment 425664View attachment 425665View attachment 425666View attachment 425667

Wonderful hat. Most pics and the commentary are by Alan himself. I could never write that well.
Thanks, Marcel. Patience and perseverance (and maybe a chunck of money) and you'll get there.@drmaxtejeda and @steur you guys blow me away with your hats!!!
Thank you very much, Robert. It is indeed part of a suit. I think you'd like it; double breasted, cuffed trousers.View attachment 425756
Oh yes, oh very much the sin of covet, yes. Tell you what Stefan, all fabulous as ever but what is an absolute scene stealer is that lovely grey jacket with feint white pin stripes in the first two photos. Part of a suit maybe?
Thank you kindly, Gary.Beautiful. I love the shape and it has just the right contrast on the brim binding. Classy!
Sunday wouldn't be Sunday without the omnibus edition of the Archers and Stefan's week in hats. Some very nice shirts and ties too!Well, after Max showed off his big guns, it's my turn with the smaller guns
Let's see what this week had in store (I need to a change of hats soon).

An Alley Kat by Tim Mahovich .
Dang, he makes a fine hat. Everything he promised, and more! This one I bought on eBay, and is too large for me, but Ignacio will set it right.
Tim, you're a master hatter. This one is way up there with the Optimo Chicagos.View attachment 425680View attachment 425681View attachment 425682View attachment 425683View attachment 425684View attachment 425685View attachment 425686View attachment 425687View attachment 425688View attachment 425689
