Steve, Thanks! The Felt is light weight and has a very smooth hand. I think it's probably Fur Felt. I only have one other JHS with similar felt. Great looking mystery Hat from you. It has a popular later 1950s German form.

Someone here asked for some pics of my Newt (Optimo) Panama. I bought this online in January this year and it was miss-categorized. I took a small chance as I was new to hats, however it looked very good and it was my size! While I can't say that I got it for a song, I certainly didn't pay the full album price! (Can I coin that phrase?)

Nice. When I was in school, many in my class were on trial for something, not observing.

I didn't grow up in the best of neighborhoods.

C. G. Wilke "Bürstel Electra" possibly mid to later 1930s. C. G. Wilke Guben liked to use such model names. This one still has the exterior paper size tag.

My most favorite trademark design.

C. G. Wilke Guben Hat Factory, Ink Blotter, 14 cm X 7 cm / 4.5 inches X 2.75 inches, possibly early 1910s. Definitely one of my most unique historical pieces.

I hope you bought that bottles Woodford reserve and Knob Creek??

My cabinet is sufficiently full at the moment so I was only browsing. I prefer the the Double Oaked version of Woodford Reserve.

One of local stores did a single barrel select with Knob Creek last year that I greatly enjoyed. I think I ended up buying four or five bottles throughout the year. I've kept one unopened. A bit higher octane at 120 proof:

The grocery store is fine for mixers, but I prefer to buy from a local store that has a better selection of better quality for drinking straight. The craft beer selection is also night and day different. You might pay a few bucks more but you get a better selection and it supports local business.

Getting back to hats, you've managed to put together quite a nice selection, Marcel. I greatly enjoy seeing your newest pieces with your finely manicured landscaping.
