German army coat more than capable of keeping out snow, sleet, icy rain and all that is to be expected late November around here.
In terms of functionality it seems obvious that this was designed for rainy evenings in the barracks rather than seeing action. Poor range of mobility even oversized and worse zipper than Aeros no. 5 Hookless…

After the green Lewis Leathers now fits really well after their alteration on the waist, I had to do the same with the Corsair. And again, I'm very satisfied.

This is the veg tanned sheep in dark brown.
Slightly thinner than the green one and wears like a cloth sports jacket. Highly recommended.

I'm still figuring out the OG-108 field shirt, but it works well over the USMC commando sweater.
I'm a big fan of layering for warmth without sacrificing comfort and arm mobility, and this wool field shirt is just another practical / versatile layer.
