I know in my life with a mixture of hard work, opportunity and a bit of luck my reality has surpassed my dreams. Almost sounds that way with this beautiful jacket of yours, does the search end? Or just morph into something else.

I think some of the credit for the "awesome fit" of this jacket should be extended to your obvious dedication to keeping yourself in shape; therefore providing a good structure for the attributes that a well tailored jacket expresses. Gentlemen like yourself, Mr. Proper and others clearly demonstrate that the jacket will make most men look good, but a lean and purposely proportioned frame will magnify that look ten fold. It has provided myself and I'm sure others some motivation to not just get a "jacket that fits", but to equally put the work in to provide a body that best " fits the jacket". Well played.

You are right, leather is particularly unforgiving when it comes to fit. Some garments look okay baggy, not leather. Leather looks best on trim guys with a trim fit.

You are right, leather is particularly unforgiving when it comes to fit. Some garments look okay baggy, not leather. Leather looks best on trim guys with a trim fit.

I felt like I reached a point of satisfaction with my current collection of jackets until you posted that brown Walter Dyer. That sent me on a mission to see if I could find one but luckily none to be found in my size., that urge has passed. I have had good success selling the ones I could live without, sold 3 out of 4 in the last month. That brings me to what I consider a keeper lineup.
2 Schott cross zips
1 Schott cafe racer
1 Vanson Model J car coatish kinda jacket

Focus changes, my daughter will be college ready as well in less than a year. Gotta save those coins now .

I really like the USMC commando sweater, the only thing I didn't like was the epaulets on the shoulders which I cut off.

I'm really loving the OG-108 field shirt too, a great functional piece of versatile outerwear.

Walter Dyer actually IS leather!!! Love this jacket. Perfect utility piece. Easy to wear zipper in the car, perfect mobility. What a wildly underrated maker. This jacket is just superb and an absolute joy to wear. Crazy part is it still needs breaking in!

Walter Dyer is an ACTUAL endgame piece! I realized that when I realized that I was... That I am comparing literally every single jacket I ever own(ed) to Walter Dyer! None won, even though I did prefer a few for random reasons but objectively, NOT ONE jacket won. Wasn't even a tie. Ever.

I agree. This jacket I would compare to the Vanson Oxford 9D, and having had both the Walter Dyer is objectively better in every measurable way. And I say that acknowledging fully that Vanson makes arguably the best purpose built jacket on the planet.

Agreed. Only Vanson is right there tho it costs a lot. Everything else is "I'm going to pay a LOT of money & pretend it was worth it" which is cool and I've done it a hundred times and I'll do it all over again but it's just that and no more.
