Yes, that would be the argument. And you rightfully mentioned two viable counter arguments.
I still feel the need to repeat myself: it’s totally ok for me to NOT like Addict (or Himel, or Simmons Bilt or…). For whatever reason.
However, it’s absolutely not compatible with my take on a civilised conversation to call somebody an “idiot” BECAUSE he (or she) wears a certain maker or likes a certain style/pattern/fit.
Sorry to rub it in. I just feel that the tone of dispute has suffered lately while the desire to be “right“ seems to have increased.
Addict leathers are copies of Lewis Leathers? I never heard of that. Also, LL in fact does have a store in Japan, and that's more than we can say about their presence in the USA market. There are opinions that say Addict are only copies of Lewis leathers for the Japanese market (which are then cheaper there), because the original LL are too expensive in Japan. And it would be wiser in Europe to buy LL instead of Addict. However, I think this comparison only works if Addict would use exactly the same leather as LL. As soon as Addict uses a different leather (better?)things look quite different again.
And if you don't want to have a logo on the chest, you'll go for Addict too
I think everyone should buy what he feels like.
I think we can all agree, if one wants to critique a jacket objectively or subjectively, we can do it without name calling. I mean, what's the point of that?
