Easy Stetson is now a brand

Stetson is a brand. Stetson basically stopped making hats decades ago. Steven Hats in St. Joesph Missouri bought the Stetson brand in the early 70's. They themselves ran into financial trouble in the 80's. The Stetson brand was sold to an individual in NY. I'm not sure if they then licensed the brand from them at that point. In the mid-to-late 80s Hatco bought the Steven Hats and therefore the license to make Stetson hats in the US. I think Schnieder has the license to make Stetson Hats in Europe although they farm it out to Bohlman Hats so they can say "Made in America" The owner of the Stetson brand in NY owns the site stetson.com

Stetson NY has recently licensed their name to a number of new products including western shirts, boots, and saddles....

I like their "eastern" hat on stetson.com

What do you mean? Which one is junk? I believe Hatco makes the straw and felt hats for Stetson NY. I believe their cut and sewn are imported from overseas...
