Up for sale is a gently used pair of Wolverine 1000 Mile Austin boots. They are made of Horween Predator leather which is the toughest yet buttery smooth leather I've ever had the opportunity to wear. original soles and heels.original box, liner, and waxed laces. Hoping to get $175 (free shipping to US). they are fantastic boots, but just don't get enough wear time since I got my Aldens. Nice boots! Do they fit true to size or they fit about a size bigger (like Viberg for instance)?

I wear a 10 in sneakers (vans, addidas, puma) and I’m a 9 in Wolverine 1000 mi. I could do 9.5 with insole (same as Redwing). In the Austen, I would recommend the 1/2 size. My 9s feel good, but look a little smallish.

Thanks a lot, so they go at least 1/2 size bigger then it's marked on their sizetag, or possibly even a whole size bigger (for those who prefer quite snug fit even if without any extra insole) - have I understood correct? It seems to be quite a usual sizing for these vintage patterns (for instance for Viberg and may be a bit less for White's too).
I usually wear 9.5 US in sneakers, so if I understood correct I need size 9 in Austin (I usually prefer normal fit, esp. in workboots, i.e. not snug).
P.S. Eric, your size 9 Austins should fit me well then, so if you possibly decide to sell them any day - you know who to make an offer to)
