Won this lot of 3.....

I got these in the mail today. It was a lot of 3. A Towncraft, which I hadn't owned any of, til now....an Adam and a Barton, which I never heard of before, maybe someone here has?

It's called The Deluxe, by Barton Hats. 4 1/4" Crown with a 2" brim and nice 2" Detailed Grosgrain. Very different kind of Brown, hard to describe but the pics are pretty close on this one

They cleaned up well, it came with a teardrop and I left it at that....

Next was the Adam the felt was in great shape, cleaned up nice, but the liner was loose in spots, I put the same bash back in that came with the hat. 4 1/2" crown with a 1 3/4" brim I don't know what it's called but it's like an underwelt, black grosgrain, color is a taupe/gray...nice little hat, I like it.

3rd hat.....

Last is the Towncraft, first time owning one, don't know much about them, but it's in great shape...best of the bunch. 4 1/2" open crown, that's the way it arrived. It was pretty dirt, but cleaned up nice. has a 1 3/4" brim with a nice little 1/8" bound edge to match the black grosgain which is just shy of 2". The lining is in great shape as well and so is the sweat, it says...**X Quality, but the felt seems a bit stiff to me. I decided to give it a tapered pork pie bash, just thought it was fitting. you'll be seeing me where this one often, I get the feeling.

Towncraft is J C Pennys house brand. I have an Adam Feather weight and it's a very nice hat, felt is really soft and easy to bash.

Lets see, I know you just posted them but I might as well give you some background on the Towncraft. They were decent work-a-day hats sold by Penneys at the time. Most accounts have them being made by Lee Hats. Yours is a higher quality than their base thin ribbon model.
Adam was a budget minded hat but they did all they could to squeeze as much style they could out of their budget. Yours is a good example of that.
Barton hats I have not come in contact with at all so I really can't speak to their background. I can say that this is an interesting example with the unusual ribbon and color.
