Thats amazing - these look as good almost as any modern photograph. I had no idea this was possible around the time of the first world war!

...too true.
If you guys ever saw 'The Second World War in Colour' it strikes a new chord- WW2 seemed almost at a safe distance, then to see Nazis marching in colour made it all seem dangerously close...
Same with the allies landing on D-Day, it just adds a 'new' realism to it all.

Remember also... the first colour TV transmission was mid 1928 in London!
We tend to think of these inventions as having been discovered much closer to the time they became consumer-accessible.

The Modern Age, huh?
