It is with great reluctance that I am listing this jacket I purchased a little over a year ago. For sale is this stunning rendition of Schott's 618HH, for my money the best model Schott makes.
Moreover, this one from 1996 (as Schott told me based on the serial/tag info) comes in as quality of leather I've ever seen in a perfecto. It is thick. It also has enough horsehide character to differentiate it from cow and make it pop, without looking like a black vinyl couch like the current Schott 618hh does for some time before breaking in.
The cut on this one is a real sweet spot as well. Please check the measurements but in my opinion it is not quite as slim as the current 618hh iteration which can feel a bit restrictive, while having a nice more cropped rock and roll true motorbike length. I wear a 44 in most leather jackets and this is I would say a slim 44, but a 44 nonetheless.
All in all this is an incredible jacket, but unfortunately some life circumstances dictate that I sell some of what's in my closet that doesn't get enough wear to justify keeping if I could instead sell it for the right price.
So with that in mind, I am basically listing this at a price I can't refuse since I don't really want to sell it in the first place lol.
Asking for $850 plus shipping in the U.S. I am in NYC if anyone is local, and I'm happy to ship overseas but it will likely be quite expensive.
Very lightly worn, ready to wear without any stiffness or sheen like a brand new one but certainly still plenty of break in left to rock and make it your own. Includes the tags.
Measurements:
Pit to pit: 22.75-23.5 depending on football measurement choice (middle or end to end)
Shoulder: 20
Length: 23.5
Hem: 21
Sleeve: 25
