Those are all so nice and bright. All silk Hollyvogues had to have been one of the top-of-the-lines.

All Silk and hand painted were probably fairly expensive back then so you could be right.

Ok, here is a comparison as some people think that I will wear ANY tie with bold patterns. This is one I won't touch. It is ugly to me:

Thin ties have their place. If I have a suit jacket on that has thinner lapels, I generally won't wear a bold tie with it.

That is usually never though because it's B-O-R-I-N-G

All sharks bite and they especially like silk. :eeek: It is an interesting phase pattern. Too bad it isn't an inch wider.

But the teeth don't even touch the tie, but bite into the shirt; you know that...I agree that it would also be cool if it were an inch wider.

Those LA ties are their own breed. I admit, I've never heard the term 'tie shark' before, but I like it. That tie, though, has to be worn by some sort of 'shark.'

Some people just use the tie shark to clip both blades together---not to the shirt. That is when the tieshark bites like a geat white. The weight and the movement just kill a tie.:eusa_doh: I don't even want to think what it would do to the shirt. Shirtshark.

I am glad you agree about the width.

Oh and I got my Signet tie today. It is at the dry cleaners. I hope it comes back in one piece.
