Thanks for the hat compliments and likes folks. I do read the comments, but with the site speed so slow I have chosen not to post individual replies. It is my problem - too impatient.

We received 2" of rain last evening. Cheers! An early morning walkabout in the damp weather had me wearing a Mallory Ten. The thin ribbon hat is so darn comfy and the felt is squeezable soft. My crease this morning still shows my finger marks. My neighborhood wildlife did not notice or comment this early morning.

Home, a change of hats and a cup of coffee to jump start the day. I was sport'n a Stetson Stratoliner that is stored on top of the Mallory.

I headed out to the local bakery for fresh bread and changed to an Adam thin ribbon.

You might have guessed I’ve mostly worn my self made charcoal western this week. I did. But also, I wore this new Stetson Hats hat I found en route during a brief tour. I tried on a modern Stetson OR, and actually rather liked it, but it stayed on the shelf, as my hat money is tied up elsewhere at the moment.

Well, I'm back. Feels a bit appropriate to qoute The Lord of the rings after visting mount doom. Etna was close enough for me anyway. The hats of the week don't show a lot of variation, because the Dunlap panama was the only hat I brought to Sicily with me.

I have been trying to look at all the hats, but the site wasn't very forthcoming to be honest. Consider your hats and comments liked and appreciated.
You definitely chose the right Panama for your holiday, Stefan. Looks good in front of all that wonderful scenery.

You have given this classic hat a cool makeover. You wear your Borsalino in the most effortless way. It crowns and compliments your attire, perfectly. Although it might be better with the lapels down, but even that doesn't matter. Excellent Steve.
Looking out of the window, I am keeping an eye on the weather before deciding what to wear to church this morning. Hopefully the sun will put in an appearance, after church we are off to a classic car show at Christchurch. I do hope that it turns out to be blazer weather.

Thank you so much, Robert.

Needless to say, you're looking your usual height of sartorial elegance.

Spent the afternoon attending the Hop Harvest Festival at a local organic farm and co-op with the family. Admission included BBQ lunch, souvenir pint glass, pint of Oktoberfest, live music, games, and kids crafts. Unseasonably warms temps called for an unlined, vented Tirard as we strolled through the milkweed and wildflower garden:

Brilliant trip! Agrigento - Syracuse -Catania - Taormina is one of my favorite runs.

That Dunlap looks to have been the perfect choice. How did it hold up to the constant wear?
