Ugh! I can relate to you guys...It seems like I am always forgetting about an important auction (no matter how I try to remind myself) or the high bid beats me by a dollar or some silly amount. Super frustrating. -.-

Like some of you ladies, my mother is so used to my strange dressing phases she barely noticed when I first started dressing vintage. The goth phase, the "emo" phase, the hippie phase, I did it all! I think my first day of full on vintage dressing I wore a salmon-pink 1950s housedress to go...

I believe I saw a show on Food network that was about the resurgence of automat style restaurants in some bigger cities. Exciting, I think.

This is just what I did when I was starting out as well. I just measured things I already had that fit well. I'm a small size too and it's quite easy to find things that fit. Most especially patterns!! I'm learning to sew too and teaching myself...so you won't be alone around here as a learner!

Ah! That brush set is so beautiful. I'm a sucker for those sorts of things even though I don't really use combs! I have a nice set, but it's only the brush and the mirror. The design is more of a mixed floral...unfortunately the mirror is quite tarnished and spotted, but I still use it!
