In some respects this is the most important, if not existential, thread I've seen here. Having said that I note I am also consumed with restoring an '81 GS450T (a commuter bike) and I immensely enjoyed walking a couple of miles today in an '80s Bean Flying Tiger (comfortable too!).
Fidelity was a big part of motorcycling and the Boston music scene in the late 70's. I believe they were sold at Boston Cycle Parts on Brighton Ave. and worn to hear bands at the Rat and Cantone's. Picked this up for $30. (fits sorta) recently and still ride bikes from that era

Great writing, casting, and the leather jackets/coats the Resistance guys wear are to die for (and they sometimes do.)
