I actually wore a trench coat a few times in high school. Every time it was in a heavy downpour, so there were no odd looks. I usually stuck to a peacoat, or my dad's old leather jacket. But everyone there knew me for my "different" tastes in clothing.

I found exactly what you're looking for, except it was double breasted. Thrift store find, fit me perfectly. That rarely happens, so I was ecstatic.

I would ask my dad, but he just got me new tires. I don't think anyone else I know would want to spend that much on a hat. Maybe I'll get lucky and get it of the bay.

Man, I was planning on getting myself a hat with the money left over after going Christmas shopping, but I have yet to go! And I always do enjoy the hats you offer, Josh.

I had fairly decent success with my naptha experiment. Sweatband came out fine, too. Just make sure to condition it afterwards.

Wow, I've learned so much about Aero through this thread, and it is an outstanding company! I must say, it only reinforces my desire to obtain one of the jackets. I will soon be able afford one of the apprentice jackets, and will look forward to eventually buying it!!

I've learned a few new things from this thread. I don't mind wearing a vintage hat in the rain, if it's on my head when the rain starts. Like m0nk, I'll grab my Akubra if I know it will rain later on. They're great hats.
