Hi 1mach1, the Kestrel was one of the prettiest cars made by Riley and its design captures (on four wheels), a lot of the things we love about the golden era.

Here are some pictures of my 1937 Riley Kestrel. I really enjoy driving it, even if it is slow and noisy compared to modern cars.

    Leather conditioner

Hi, I have used Pecard Leather dressing for many years on my shoes, wallet, briefcase & watch strap. It is really excellent stuff and a tub lasts a long time. You can see how it can be used for a range of applications by following this link...

    Gentleman's umbrella, where to find?

If you have (very) deep pockets you can try Swaine Adeney Brigg. They are beautifully made using traditional materials and techniques. Here is the link anyway: http://www.swaineadeney.co.uk/umbrellas/index.html?page=1

    My Finest ART DECO Item

This is one of my favourite items, as I love pre-war cars but for the moment (at least) I can't afford to buy one. It's a clockwork car made by Schuco 'Kommando Anno 2000', and this is a pre-war one...I think they started making them in 1938. Schuco Kommando Anno 2000 by Dmitri's photos, on Flickr

Thank you, but a professional would get the right shot in much less time than it took me! ;)

I am certainly not a professional, but here are some photographs you may like of a vintage dinner jacket and a book...I like to use flash umbrellas and diffusers for lighting. Dinner jacket & rose by Dmitri's photos, on Flickr Heart in a book by Dmitri's photos, on Flickr
