    Todds Indy Jacket

do you mean "Cats" as in Caterpillars? I'd like to know if there is another brand. Modern boots with the lug soles work well, but I just don't like that "clunky" look. I'd love to get a pair of Aldens!!! I'll post some pictures soon. I don't have internet at home yet, so it's a bit difficult.

    Todds Indy Jacket

I'll have to take a few pics. Unfortunately, the left boot upper separated from the sole-it is attached with glue. I thought it was sewn to the sole, but was wrong. Todd's immediately offered to take the boots back. It's too bad because the boots have a great look and are well made except...

    Todds Indy Jacket

I just got my standard Indy Jacket and boots from Todds Costumes and am very happy with them. I didn't get them as a "costume", but because I've always liked the style, and I needed new boots. (Yeah, with a fedora I'll get the "Indiana Jones" comments, but then I've been called "Indy" while...

How not to look like Indiana Jones?

I've had it! I've gotten the "Indy" cooment as well-many times. In fact, while in southern Florida some time ago I was wearing khaki SHORTS, SANDALS, a BLUE SHORT SLEEVE shirt, and a CANVAS safari type hat, and I got called "Indy" and "Cowboy" both! I had a shoulder bag, but for goodness...

    The Adventurer's Gear Thread

Love those Willys!!! Right now I have a '97 TJ that I did the Zebra job on. I used to have a CJ7 painted like that as well. Both were used in foreign commercials and photo shoots done in South Florida. I did the paintjob by spray painting the Jeep white, drawing out the lines with a sharpee...

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

AUSTRALIA I just saw Australia and I loved it! Great film! Lots of romance, good action, humor, and beautifully shot. It made me cry a couple of times! And I love the little kid, Nala!

    Weird Food Combinations

Mayonnaise and bread. Bread with olive oil, crushed garlic, and salt. (my dad used to make that, guess it's not weird though). Tapatio Hot Sauce with pizza. A Subways Spicy Italian-dip it in wonton soup.

    Casablanca

I just got my Casablanca DVD via mail yesterday. It had been about five years since I'd seen it last, and I enjoyed it very much. The DVD has a nice documentary and I was amused to find out that they used a scaled down cutout for the airplane on a sound stage in the last scene. They also used...

    Twitter?

That was hilarious! I tried having a myspace account, but it was sort of creepy, so I deactivated it. I tried facebook and started getting a bunch of contacts-some of them were old high school acquaintances. I started to hear that "blank just had a sandwich", "blank was watching show x", and...

Crystal Dark I saw that in the theater long ago and got the 'making of book'. I remember it was creepy, and the Skeksis were disturbing creatures. It was indeed a creative and interesting flick!
