    eBay prices

priced out of the running!!! Thank you!!! Priced out of the running is the exact perfect phrase for what happens to me on eBay!!! For example, I was bidding on an early 1900's white Edwardian-style blouse, which started at about 25.00USD. It's now at about $80.00, and has more than 24 hours...

    eBay prices

eBay prices too high!!! All I can say is, I completely agree with the original question. The majority of eBay prices are way too high!!! And I do wonder, since I see no one at all dressed in Edwardian clothes, nor in Victorian petticoats, who are the people buying these up, driving up the...

    anyone else like old-fashioned bonnets?

I love bonnets, they're so comfy and shade my hair, scalp, neck, and face (I religiously cover myself ffrom the sun). I love all kinds of styles, and hope to get more. I have one prairie-style bonnet that doesn't quite fit, and I have a wonderful slat bonnet--I wear it every day. Anyone else??

Is it just me, or is it a "little disrespectful" Queen Mary Ghost and Legends Tour

right on the money I don't think you're too picky--I think that part of the tour you described was indeed disrespectful. I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said!

    Vintage Phones

corded phones are best I definitely agree with what one of you sad about how annoying it is to talk to someone who's using a wireless or cell phone. Though I'm not lucky enough to have a Golden Era phone, both of my telephones are corded. I refuse to have a cordless phone--I can't stand those...

    Who Does Without TV?

DVD's save the day! I also don't have television service...too much money, and I can't stand most of what's on anyway. Plus, my best friend said that the converter box does not work for her TV, so to have TV service, one has to buy a new TV set. Which I refuse to do. I do get DVD's and VHS...

Lace it up - The true Corset thread

I love corsets and girdles!!! Just wanted to say, I absolutely LOVE wearing real corsets (esp. overbust) and girdles!!! I also must say, as a chronic back pain person/sufferer/patient, corsets and girdles help this problem immensely. A good strong corset forces the wearer to stand or sit up...

    When is enough ENOUGH?

trust your instinct on this one Hey, I think it's really brave of you to recognize this about yourself, not to mention admitting it here to everyone!!! I can relate to your conundrum, because I got in REALLY big financial trouble w/eBay and Paypal over buying too many antique and vintage...

How to live a vintage lifestyle in a modern world?

no driving One thing I do to make my world more vintage is that I don't drive. I don't know how, and probably will never learn. I walk and take public transit everywhere I go, and I go to and from the grocery store with an old-fashioned grocery cart. I save a lot of money this way, too. And...
