Too bright for a funeral? I have a pinkish ribbon for it which i took off, but the only black ribbon I have is this from an old Kakuda outback hiking hat. I feel like it might still be too bright for the funeral, the only other hat I have right now is a medium dark brown, but I'm not sure that...

Picked up a package today, a Stetson (Comstock) that was being fedorified by randall. Still playing around with the ribbon a bit, but I like it.

I think I do get hit with taxes/customs on anything declared over $25 if it's clothing. At least that's what I've been told. I'm not sure how accurate that is. Although having said that, rodkins sent a hat over recently (not sure what he declared) and I was not charged anything extra.

Hmm, how about in terms of ruining the hat. Would sticking a pin (from what I read up on snaps, that seems like it'd be permanent) through the brim leave it with a hole after if I chose to go back to the original form, or would it be unnoticeable?

Thanks, now that I know the term I can look up the information. From some quick researching seems like it was used in the 1800s too, by military in order to be able to aim a rifle properly. :)

Did anyone ever "pin" their hats? I had a friend recommend doing it, it doesn't look bad but I was wondering if it was ever done back in the day. Also if it was, how was the side of the hat held up, would it ruin the hat if it stayed in this position for a prolonged period of time? Since, I'm...
